doomsday clockThe  doomsday clock is a symbolic clock depicting a countdown to global catastrophe. Ithangs on the walls of the office of the Bulletin of the Atomic scientists at the University of Chicago.Every time there is a major threat to the environment the clock hands are moved towards midnight by the scientist .Originally meant to denote the threat of nuclear war  from 2007 it has also been representing climate change and developments that could harm humanity.

From 1947 , clock has been adjusted 20 times , grave pointer to the environmental threats facing the globe. In January 2015 , the clock was set at 3 minutes to midnight to highlight the climate change , modernization of nuclear weapons by superpowers and the issue of nuclear waste . After Hiroshima was bombed in 1945 , a group called Chicago Atomic scientist started newsletter and a bulletin  featured the clock which was initially set at seven minutes to midnight. After the bulletin went digital the website adopted the clock as  its logo
