The reason behind the sun appears reddish early in the morning

Sunrise is the moment when the upper limb of the Sun appears on the horizon in the morning. The term can also refer to the entire process of the solar disk crossing the horizon and its accompanying atmospheric effects

During sunrise, when the sun is very close to the horizon, sunlight travels a longer  path through the atmosphere before reaching the observer

The blue light and violet light are scattered much more by the earth’s atmosphere than red light. The blue light and violet light are scattered away from the path of the light due to the greater thickness of the atmosphere. Hence the light reaching the observer on the earth is mostly red and yellow. Therefore the sun appears reddish early in the morning
